My mother raised me in college and every day she would listen to an assortment of wonderful bands. This most likely ended up rubbing off on me and grew to be some of my favourite music. Coldplay was one of those bands that she frequently listened too, along with U2, Dave Matthews Band, to name a few. Coldplay has always been my kind of music. With great bass-lines, amazing guitar solo's and the great implementation of the piano; it has always sounded superb in my eyes (or ears in this case). As stated previously, I've been a Coldplay fan for a long time. From the release of Parachutes, to Viva La Vida, I've probably enjoyed every album and single to come out from them.

Now the concert[1] was one of the most magical things I have ever experienced. Words cannot really describe how utterly wonderful it was. When I entered Rogers Arena, (the place where the concert is) I was greeted by the security guard and given a bracelet; with the words "Coldplay" on it. I was then instructed to put it on before the show started. At the start of the performance, it began with the small intro beat "Mylo Xyloto" and then continued into Hurts Like Heaven, right before the song started the whole coliseum was illuminated by the bracelets that were given out (they had LED's in them that got controlled remotely). The level of happiness that I felt in that place was amazing. When the lights popped up and the song started to blast- the lights started to pop to the beat of the song, all simultaneously. It's something you would have to experience yourself to really understand the awe of it. I do know, that the display of colors, lights and amazing music, will stick with me for years to come, if not my whole life.
Chris Martin (Lead vocals for coldplay) had an amazing night. His vocals were on par to that of his album and it surprised me how great he did performing. Compared to a previous performance I saw on SNL, I thought that he would have trouble performing live, like most artists these days, I was humbly mistaken. While he was a bit pitchy at certain points, (Which I can understand why, considering he's performing, whilst playing the guitar/dancing/jumping). Other then a few notes missed, he did a fantastic job, and I really appreciate him more as a person and artist now. The band also did a wonderful job[2]. Guy Berryman was astounding on the bass, Jonny Buckland performed some fucking amazing Solo's. Will Champion. Words can't describe the wonderful job he did, the way he performed on his drums during Viva La Vida just rocked my brain.
Verdict[]
Fucking fantastic. From the level of professionalism and the way they held themselves; to the way they rocked the entire room. Simply exceptional. I'm humbled to have been there and experience it. I give the whole thing a 10/10, Maybe I'm being biased because of being a long-time fan, but I can say that it was probably the best concert I have ever been to in my life.
